Mumbai, India – Vivo is set to expand its popular Y-series in India with the official launch of the Vivo Y400 Pro on June 20. The company has been actively building anticipation, highlighting the smartphone’s “segment’s slimmest 3D curved display,” “bold new colours,” and a “powerful blend of performance and design.” Recent teasers also reveal a distinctive dual-camera setup on the rear, accompanied by Vivo’s signature Aura Light system.
While Vivo has remained tight-lipped about the complete specifications, leaks and reports, notably from Fonearena and other sources, have painted a comprehensive picture of what to expect from this upcoming mid-range contender.

Key Highlights of the Vivo Y400 Pro:
- Striking Display: The Y400 Pro is anticipated to sport a vibrant 6.77-inch AMOLED display. This panel will reportedly offer a sharp FHD+ resolution and a fluid 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring a smooth visual experience whether you’re scrolling through content or gaming. A standout feature is its rumored peak brightness of 4,500 nits, which should provide excellent visibility even under direct sunlight. The 3D curved design is expected to contribute to a premium in-hand feel and a more immersive viewing experience.
- Powered by Dimensity 7300: At its core, the Vivo Y400 Pro is expected to house the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 System-on-Chip (SoC). Built on a 4nm process, this processor is designed for a balance of performance and power efficiency. Reports suggest it offers significant improvements in frame rates and energy efficiency compared to its predecessor, the Dimensity 7200, making it capable of handling daily tasks and moderate gaming with ease. The phone will likely come with 8GB of RAM, with support for up to 8GB of virtual RAM, ensuring smooth multitasking. Storage options are expected to be 128GB and 256GB.
- Advanced Camera System: Photography is a key focus for Vivo, and the Y400 Pro is no exception. It’s expected to feature a 50MP primary camera utilizing the Sony IMX882 sensor. This sensor is known for its high resolution, increased photosensitivity, and better light intake, promising professional-level portrait shots and enhanced low-light performance. A 2MP secondary camera will likely complement the main sensor. The inclusion of Vivo’s “Aura Light” system is a significant highlight. This smart ring light is designed to offer gentler, more even illumination than a traditional flash, with intelligent color temperature adjustment to create natural and harmonious lighting in portraits, even in challenging low-light conditions. For selfies and video calls, a 32MP front camera is anticipated, possibly with Eye AF (Autofocus) for sharp self-portraits. The phone is also expected to support 4K video recording from both front and rear cameras, and a “Vlog Movie Creator” feature to simplify video editing.
- Long-Lasting Battery & Rapid Charging: To keep you powered throughout the day, the Vivo Y400 Pro is rumored to pack a substantial 5,500mAh battery. More impressively, it’s expected to support 90W fast wired charging, which could significantly reduce downtime.
- Design & Other Features: An Amazon listing, briefly seen and then removed, hinted at the Y400 Pro being just 8mm thick and weighing around 182 grams, contributing to its “slimmest” claim. Expected color options include “Freestyle White” and “Festival Gold.” The phone is also anticipated to run on Android 15 with Vivo’s custom Funtouch OS 15 skin and may include AI-enhanced features like AI Transcript Assist, AI Note Assist, and Google’s Circle to Search. An in-display optical fingerprint scanner is also a likely addition for secure unlocking. Some reports also suggest an IR blaster for controlling home appliances.

Expected Price and Availability:
While official pricing will be revealed on June 20, industry reports suggest the Vivo Y400 Pro could be priced around Rs. 25,000 for its base variant. Following the launch, the smartphone is expected to be available for purchase through Vivo’s official website, major online retail platforms like Amazon and Flipkart, and offline retail stores across India.
With its blend of a sleek design, powerful performance, and advanced camera capabilities, the Vivo Y400 Pro aims to be a strong contender in the competitive mid-range smartphone segment.
